Do my state laws change frequently enough to warrant the Poster Subscription Program?

Answer: While it is impossible to forecast what changes are going to be made, it is fair to say that the poster updates do occur on a regular basis. Since January of 2004, there have been on average 2-3 significant changes each year per state. Ongoing compliance requires vigilance in keeping on top of the changes, and this can be complicated and time-consuming. The Poster Subscription Program ensures that you are always in compliance by providing you with new posters as laws change without the added hassle or uncertainty.

Why do I need labor law posters? Are their fines associated with not displaying current posters?

Answer: Federal and state government regulations require all employers with at least one employee on payroll to post these documents in a conspicuous area at each of their locations. Failure to keep these notices up-to-date may result in substantial fines or frivolous lawsuits by employees. The amount varies by state agency and case, but fines have been imposed up to $10,000 per incident.

Why should I purchase these posters when I can print the information from government sites for free?

Answer: Printing the information required to post can be a time-consuming hassle. There are a number of different pages you need to assemble from various sites and they will be printed on black and white which makes them easily ruined.
